Once again the Free state government is intent on introducing another draconian law which is aimed at eroding all democratic principals with the aim
of useing this ridiculous law to imprison Irish republican political activists. This law in effect can be used to imprison Irish republicans for up to ten years for promoting republican beliefs. In the eyes of the southern government, encouraging a "terrorist connected crime" can even be the promoting of Republican litrature, political arguments and other democratic practices. This law is charateristic of similar and idenitical laws introduced in many anti democratic regiemes around the world. When peaceful democratic opposition is denied, what is the alternative?

TOUGH new legislation to crack down on recruiting agents for terrorist gangs has been approved by the Government.
The laws will significantly boost the powers of gardai in tackling dissident republican groups.
And they will provide additional weapons to the garda armoury when trying to bring criminal charges against suspected terrorists.
Three new offences will be created under the Criminal Justice (Terrorist Offences) (Amendment) Bill, 2012:
? Recruiting or attempting to recruit another person to engage in terrorist activity or a terrorist-linked offence.
? Providing instruction in the manufacture or use of firearms or explosives, or biological, chemical or nuclear weapons, for the purpose of committing a terrorist offence.
? Distributing or making messages available to the public, which encourage the carrying out of a terrorist connected crime.
All three offences carry a maximum penalty of 10 years in jail.
