Yesterday, Friday 17th May, Facebook pages belonging to the 32 County Sovereignty Movement were closed simultaneously along with personal accounts including those of our National Secretary, International Officer and National PRO with a bland explanation suggesting that the accounts violated Facebook’s Statement of Rights and Responsibilities. It is our belief that these pages have been closed in a coordinated effort to hinder the objectives of the 32csm and is a clear attack on political expression and free speech.
Over the past year we have observed an increase in harassment against the Sovereignty Movement and our members with stop and searches, house raids, personal PayPal accounts and personal bank accounts across the island being disabled and closed, armed crown forces parking outside members workplaces and setting up checkpoints outside others to harass their staff and customers.
In the coming days we will be seeking advice and hope that Facebook have the sense to see through the pressure being pushed onto them by Britain and have our pages reinstated in due course.
