Gardai harassment reaches a new low!

Last night on the 18th of May a 32csm members young daughter was stopped at a routine checkpoint by a member of the Gardai. After checking her details and relaying these via their radio the family member partially heard the response ”suspected” and “relation of”. The Garda returned to the family members car and informed her that more Gardai were on the way.

At that point 3 male and 1 female Garda quickly appeared. They then proceeded to ransack the car under the false pretence of searching for drugs, including conducting an invasive body search. The family member protested claiming she never had any involvement whatsoever in drugs and asked them why were they doing this. One of the Gardai then commented “sure you could be hiding a shotgun in your car”. One of the Garda then used some type of scanning device and began to thoroughly scan every inch of the car. After searching through the car a total of three times and even reading private letters and documents belong to her, the Gardai then left the scene leaving the family member shaken and upset.

The 32 County Sovereignty Movement utterly condemns this act of intimidation perpetrated against the daughter of one of our members. This further highlights the thuggish behaviour of a decrepit and discredited police force that seems more interested in intimidating young girls than apprehending criminals. No amount of bullying and intimidation will deter us from our goals.
